If you want to take a class, please sign up in person, by phone or e-mail. If we do not have the minimum required number of students for the class, within 48 hours, that class will be cancelled. When you sign up for your class, please check to see if a supply list or kit is available for that class.

This is the list of classes we teach, some class information may be listed , but not included on the calendar. Most classes are limited.

Class Description

Embroidery Club

1st Saturday of each month from 10-12.....It is

always an exciting time at MSSC!!!

Each month is a new event,

or maybe an old one re-visited.

Either way, don't miss it.

Beginning to Sew

This class is for ages 6 to 99 or anyone who wants to learn

to the art of sewing. If you just need a refresher course

then this is also the class for you.

We have great teachers with lots

of experience for the newbies.

'Sit "N" Sew'

'Sit "N" Sew' - Bring your UFO's (UnFinished Objects),

sewing machine, embroidery machine, or serger and

finish the UFO. 9:30 till ??

No charge, this is not a formal class, just come in.

We will help you understand the directions

(written in MARS) or run over it with the car.

Whichever is better.

Tote, Bag or (Purse) of the Month

Each month a different purse or tote bag! Every

teacher has a different idea, and a different

purse or bag to make. Bring your machines, and

check with the store to see what supplies

you will need for each class each month.

"Mystery" Table Runner of the Month

Do you like a mystery? Come in to the shop and see

the runners for previous months.

Bring basic supplies, sewing machine, and

have a great time.

Beginning to Quilt

Paper Piecing made Easy

Sue shows beginners how to paper piece like a pro.

HOW TO MEASURE AND FIT BASICS

You will learn how to take body measurements and

transfer those measurements to your pattern, for a

perfect fit. This is an easy and exciting class!

Pillowcases with Posh

Pillowcases with Sue, back by

popular demand.

Great gifts or for

any occasion.

Fun with Sergers

Master the art of serging with Nan!

Come learn the fun things you can do with the flip of

the dial and the change of the feet.

Cotton Quilt Theory

You'll love the look that you get from strips of cloth

and decorative stitches. With this technique

you can make a simple placemat to a king size quilt,

the best part is when you put the top

together the bottom is quilted too.

This will be a day class and will be limited to 6 persons.

Charity Sewing for Newborns, various projects.
